Room 20 Classroom Notes May 19-23

Good Week! Camp was an incredible experience. Please check the blog for all kinds of pictures. This week, we will be finishing up all testing. This means we will finish Math and Science and be done before the state deadline. We also start an online math program called Tenmarks. Included in the letter home this week about Tenmarks is information for a summer math program that is free and online. Please check it out. In writing, we will continue with our literary analysis of a story called, "Passage to Freedom," about a Japanese man in Lithuania during World War II who must make life and death choices for refugees. After this week, we will be exploring colonial America leading up to the Revolutionary War. Our class has been hard at work gathering data for how students get to school (Walk and Bike Month!). Please take a look at the graphs on the wall at the dip bulletin boards. If you are interested in helping out for the end of the year fifth grade lunch, please contact me ASAP. We really need your help! We will also be designing and having processed fifth grade graduation T-Shirts. More details soon!
