Room 20 Classroom Notes October 21-25

Good Week! Please be sure to note two special days ahead of us: Tuesday, October 29th we will go on a walking field trip to Johnson Creek. If you would like to go with us, please contact me immediately. We will depart at 12:20 and get back by 2:15. Also, our CLASS PLAY will be at Wednesday, October 30th. SOS!!!! Support our students!! Students must arrive by 6:00 for the PERFORMANCE starting at 6:30. Please support our classroom! The kids have really worked hard over these past weeks. Also, please help them with their lines at home! Be sure to practice spelling throughout the week via the spelling city link on marchyok.blogspot.com. We are working hard on our Create-A-State project. Students are creating their own states, preparing a trifold display with map, flag, and brochure and will eventually have a showing for the entire fifth grade. I want students to find pictures at home or print out at home images that are similar to the cities, landforms, and plant/animal life found in their state. So, if you have a desert, find a picture of a desert. Big city? Find an image of a big city! You may bring them in now or closer to finishing. We would like to be done with this project by the end of October. While we have been working on this project, we have been listening to the audiobook, "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief."
